Why do I see negative Total Return for Mari Invest Income on some days?

What is Total Return

The Total Return is the sum of the Unrealised Return from your existing investments and Realised Returns from investments you have previously sold.

Total Payouts which have been credited to you have been included within the Total Return. The next estimated payout is shown under Mari Invest Income > Payouts.

Reason why there might be a negative Total Return

The fund offered through Mari Invest Income is not immune to market fluctuations and similar to all other investments, its Unit Price may increase, decrease, or remain the same over time. As such, a decline in the Unit Price of the fund may result in negative Total Return.

How to check long-term fund performance history

This may be observed from the fund's Since Inception Return and Performance on S$10,000 Invested chart via the following steps:

1. Log in to your MariBank app.

2. Tap Mari Invest on your homescreen.

3. Tap on Mari Invest Income. After you have successfully submitted your first buy order for Mari Invest Income, this will be under My Holdings > Mari Invest Income.

4. View the Since Inception Return at the top of the page.

5. Scroll down to view the Performance on S$10,000 Invested over various time periods (toggle available).

How to check the worst past fund performance within past 1-Year

The largest decline in Total Return over the past 1-Year is available in your MariBank App via the following steps:

1. Log in to your MariBank app.

2. Tap Mari Invest on your homescreen.

3. Tap on Mari Invest Income. After you have successfully submitted your first buy order for Mari Invest Income, this will be under My Holdings > Mari Invest Income.

4. Scroll down to the Mari Invest SavePlus vs Income section.

5. Tap on the information icon beside 'Risk: Average'.

6. Under 'Performance within past 1-Year', refer to the section titled Worst, to view the fund's worst (largest decline) within the past 1-Year.
